Paweł Marcisz is an attorney, a member of the Bar Association in Warsaw, and an adjunct professor in the Department of European Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw.

He was an attorney before the WAC and SAC in cases which ended with the confirmation of Polish citizenship of children of a same-sex couple born to a surrogate mother. He also appeared in cases concerning the transcription of foreign birth certificates of such children. He represented Jakub Urbanik in a case for confirming the possibility of getting married abroad, at its domestic stage and now before the European Court of Human Rights.

He runs an attorney practice, teaches at the University of Warsaw, lectures on European Union law and EU competition law at the attorney apprenticeship. He adjudicates as an arbiter. His scientific interests revolve around the theory of EU institutional law: he is, among others, the author of the monograph The Concept of Law-making by the Court of Justice of the European Union.
